Working out in the heat can be tricky. You don’t want to forgo your workout just because it’s hot, yet you also don’t want to make yourself ill. Heat related diseases can be serious and can quickly get worse. Here are 10 ways to workout in the heat.
- Make sure you’ve got plenty of water
- Wear appropriate clothing
- Don’t workout during the hottest part of the day
- Take your workout to the water
- Pick a shady spot
- Stay in the A/C
- Find the breeze
- Take Frequent breaks out of the sun
- Adjust your intensity
- Wear sunscreen – I know this one doesn’t help with heat but it’s important, too!
